Smart Rename: Photos & Files (“we”, “our”, or “the App”) is a productivity app developed by NanoDesk AI, owned and operated by Kiwi Pharmacy. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy outlines how we handle your data when you use our app.

1. What We Do Not Collect

We do not collect, store, or access:

  • Your personal files, photos or media content
  • Filenames, folder names, or metadata
  • Any usage patterns or behavior linked to your identity

All files remain under your full control — either on your device or in your Google Drive (if sync is enabled).

2. Information We Collect

We collect only minimal information necessary for app functionality:

a. Google / Apple Sign-In Details

Used solely to:

  • Authenticate your identity
  • Verify your subscription
  • Personalize your app interface

Data retrieved:

  • Google email address (if you sign in with Google)
  • Apple email address or an Apple-provided private relay email address (if you sign in with Apple)
  • Name (if available)
  • Google / Apple Unique ID (UID)

We do not collect any other data from your Google or Apple account.

b. Crash Logs & Performance

We may collect anonymous crash data (e.g., error logs, device model) and general usage statistics to improve performance and fix bugs. No personal content is attached to this data. We may use tools such as Google Analytics to monitor website performance, diagnose issues, and understand usage patterns, which may involve the collection of anonymized usage data via cookies, in accordance with Google’s Privacy Policy.

3. Google Drive Access (Optional)

If you enable Google Drive Sync:

  • The app may use Google Drive’s appDataFolder (a hidden storage area) to securely save lightweight configuration data (e.g., metadata settings, starred view settings, and preferences).
  • It also creates a dedicated visible folder in your Drive to mirror renamed files and subfolders.
  • These folders and files are under your control and are not accessed by the developer.
  • You may revoke Drive access at any time from your Google account settings.
  • The app does not access or modify any other part of your Google Drive.

4. Local Storage

All photos, videos, PDFs, documents, folders, and metadata are saved locally on your device unless Google Drive Sync is enabled. You remain in full control of this data.

5. Subscription & Billing

We use your Google or Apple account information to:

  • Validate active subscriptions (via Play Store or App Store)
  • Provide appropriate access based on license status

We do not store any financial or payment data. All billing is handled securely by Google Play or Apple App Store.

6. Data Sharing

We do not share, sell, rent, or disclose your data to:

  • Third-party advertisers
  • Any external service without your consent

7. Data Security

The app operates in an offline-first mode. All data remains on your device unless you enable Google Drive Sync. Drive integration uses Google’s secure OAuth system and complies with their API guidelines.

No data is transmitted to our servers.

8. Your Control

You may:

  • Sign out at any time
  • Revoke Google Drive access
  • Delete your files manually from your device or Google Drive
  • Control app permissions from your device settings

9. Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time from within the app under Settings > Delete Account.

  • This action permanently removes your sign-in details and any locally stored app configuration data.
  • Files stored on your device or Google Drive remain under your control and are not deleted automatically. You may remove them manually if desired.

10. Children’s Privacy

Our app is intended for general use and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal data from minors. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with data, we will delete it promptly.

11. Updates to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. All changes will be posted on our website. Continued use of the app after such changes means you accept the revised policy.

13. Governing Law
